Katie and Rob got married in their local church in Welburn. The bridal prep was at Hawkhills, as was the wedding breakfast and evening function.

With the benefit of hindsight, I should have left for the church a bit earlier as when I got to the village there were dozens of people parking up and walking up to the church. Luckily I managed to park right outside the church and get set up in time.

After the ceremony, we headed up the hill behind Welburn Church into some fields of corn with some fabulous views over the countryside and with Castle Howard in the distance. This promised to be the ideal place for some slow-motion shots and so it was. I was really pleased with the results. I hope that Katie and Rob like the background track that I would for the slow-motion sequence for the online version. Check out the sequence which starts about 8:49 minutes into the video. You can see Castle Howard over Rob's left shoulder.

Back at Hawkhills it was a fine summer's day and everyone was outside in the grounds. I got to talk to Rob the photographer about all sorts of things whilst we were waiting for things to happen.

There was a really good band playing in the evening and I was trying to catch what the bass player was doing with some of the songs that the band I play in do.
